Coming home in victory is always a nice feeling. Here at Bustin that vibe has been going around a lot since yesterday’s 2nd Annual Central MA Downhill, Freeride and Flatland Skate Event. William Royce pulled ahead of the rest of the competition to place first in the men’s downhill event, followed in second by Will Miranda, and then fellow team rider Jeff Vyain, who tied with Original rider Brian Bishop, for third. Royce also placed in the men’s freeride, taking fifth place.
In the women’s downhill, our own Sara Paulshock took first to secure the image of speed for Bustin this weekend. She also thrilled in the freeride competition, placing third behind Jess Carchia and Laura Nocka.
A great competition was had by all and we are happy to say that every Bustin rider who made the long treck up to Central Mass placed in the quarter finals. But as we all know, winning is only part of the fun. The real joy comes from participating in such a good natured and well put together event. Thanks goes to Mike Girard, Chris Dyson, Garrett Cosgrave, and crew for bringing us all together for a great day of skating and meeting a whole ton of awesome people. These guys were 100% on top of their game, from organizing and mobilizing well over 100 people, to getting sanctions to have the road cleared to traffic all day just for this event. From everyone here at Bustin, hat’s off to Mike and co! Great job and thank you guys!
