A longboard Unites father and Daughter, Helps Family Overcome Obstacles

written by Mike July 14, 2011

We received this e-mail from our friends and had to share because it is amazing.  A father and daughter overcoming obstacles via longboarding.  Look how happy Lillian looks on that Bustin Spliff.  Awesome.  Read the letter below…

Dear Bustin Boards crew,

I wanted to drop in and thank you all from the bottom of out hearts for one year ago dad called you and asked if you all could help with a benefit for his daughter Lillian Bay Beatty. And with know worry you all sent out a deck a limited edition one blue it sat on the table ready for auction everyone was righting there names on it as they came into the benefit. Later that night the board went to the high bidder it was an amazing day as Lilly was in ICU in All Children’s Hospital fighting to survive people were working to raise her some funds. Lilly has been trough so much most weeks a trip or two to any given specialist is the norm Dad has a trip is October to go to chop hospital in Philly the doctors think they can treat Lilly as for now it remains untreatable Lilly’s story is very special she is from a small island in Florida she and her dad are surrounded by amazing people that have the ability to help them daily with all there needs all of Lilly’s 3 MILLION dollars in bills are paid due to ups and 2 special men she is always happy and laughing she is followed and cared for with 20 hours a day in home nursing. That board you all sent was given to brad and now hangs on Lilly’s wall waiting for the day she is old enough to pick out her own trucks and wheels lol until then you can catch Lilly and dad in the driveway cruising on dads spliff we have watched you company grow up we feel like part of the family. Thank you all for helping make Lilly’s life so great.  You have touched our lives and enabled freedom for a father and daughter to laugh and love that 1st ride together on our Bustin Boards. This memory will stay with us forever with Lilly in my arms.

Sincerely yours Brad and Lilly Beatty
