Solomon here. Here at Bustin we are in full holiday mode. Orders have been flying in and our dedicated staff can be found assembling boards well past midnight. Not because they have to but because they are anticipating the stoke on Christmas morning as old and new riders unwrap their fresh custom painted boards. Can you imagine days where 80 orders are shipped out?! All this while still giving great service to our friends that walk in the Longboard Loft for that instant gratification. I’m not sure how we’ve managed to accumulate such a talented and dynamic team. A team that through it’s growth has stayed positive, driven and dedicated. A team that is really a family..my family. I love you guys….. Oops. Apologies for the love story guys. I’m sitting in the shop watching these guys work and got carried away.
So..It’s freaking cold here in NYC but walking is still for suckers. So we skate really fast and more for transportation than recreation. However, the Concrete Kings are still doing Sunday Shreds. We actually started the club during the winter so why would we stop? Someone asked us how long would keep up these cold skates. Our reply..Until Summer. Get it? Don’t get me wrong though, I too long for those shirtless days shredding Manhattan streets while weaving through traffic and pedestrians without a care in the world..except for catching the light at the next intersection. Memories of these days have me uber excited about my trip back to Miami this weekend. I have an early AM flight tomorrow morning so that I can hit the South Florida flatland and prepare for Saturdays South Beach Bomb 2010. Can you say “Stoked!” This is a 6 mile push race with no uphills or downhills…. Thank you Miami!
Apologies for cutting this short but I need to work on my setup for the race and put together a few packages from Bern Unlimited and Bustin to hand out as schwag after the race. To anyone in the are I would love to see you there. The meeting spot is South Pointe Park, 1 Washington Avenue at 11AM. I’m flying in tomorrow afternoon and meeting up with two more guys from the crew. We’ll be hanging out that night if you guys would like to join us for a little fun. My number is 229 400 3348. Word?
For those of you not going be sure to follow both mine and Bustin’s twitter updates for updates. Stayskatin or Bustinboards.
Wish me luck and Stay Skatin’!
