BUSTIN LONGBOARDS NYC: Distance Longboarding and the Roots of Push Culture

written by Mike November 30, 2010

1976 was a big year for Distance Longboarding.  Jack Smith of the Skateboarders Journal decided it was time to skate across America.  He made it and Distance Skateboarding was born.  Let this be inspiration to every skater that wants to skate across America.  What is stopping you?  If you put your mind where your heart is, distance skateboarding is simple.  The mild burn of  distance longboarding will sooth the soul.  Thank you Jack Smith for starting a revolution.  We are 100% dedicated to supporting what you started.  You are the roots of Push Culture and this is just the begining. Go Longboard!

Below is the sponsorship agreement Jack received from a company called Roller Sports.  Interesting.

NOW GO SKATE!  SKATE FAR!  SKATE LONG.  SKATE FAST.  SKATE EASY. SKATE HARD.
