Question…Can my blog be anther person’s blog. Answer….Most definitely.
Our flagship store has become the unofficial headquaters of the longboard community here in NYC. And it’s not just skaters stopping by; the whole neighborhood has taken notice and people continually stop by to check us out. Is it the beautiful customized boards. Or how much fun we all seem to be having. What about the family vibe that seems to exude from everyone rocking these Bustin shirts that keep showing up everywhere. I say it’s all that and more. Whatever the reason, people are paying attention and we are basking in the love. I never stop getting excited as I get close to finishing each persons board and the joy each person shows as I pass it to them more than makes up for the long hours and busy days.
Everyday I get to meet some of the most interesting and awesome people in NYC and from around the world. I am constantly making new friends and networking is always the word of the day. Throw all your stereotypes of what makes a skater out the window. Clothes, job, age, sex…..mix all that together and that is what makes up the Bustin family.
Check out this blog from one of the newest members of our extensive family. I consider myself extremely lucky that my “hobby” is also my “job” (neither of those words really fit) but that could hardly be possible for all of us. Yet we all somehow find ways to intertwine our lives with longboarding. We can’t help it! Epic Uno
