Hi everyone. I have the distinct privilege of announcing that we’ve officially signed off on the lease for a Manhattan location of our Longboard Loft NYC store! The new store front is HUGE (bigger than our Brooklyn location) and located at Allen and Rivington in the Lower East Side. We’ve just taken over the space and are pumped to get in there and start fixing her up for her debut event, the 2011 Concrete Wave Longboard Expo on March 11. We had been planning to host this first annual event at our Brooklyn location, but the timing worked out impeccably. We won’t have the entire store stocked by then, so it will be a perfect place to host this event and unveil the new location to the people of New York City and the world!
New York City get ready! Spring 2011 is going to be longboard mayhem on the streets of Manhattan. Thanks to everyone who has supported the Bustin brand AND our quest to spread the spirit of inclusiveness with our Longboard Loft retail concept.
We will have updated pictures as we work out the design and layout, but here are a few interesting pics/factoids about the new space:
Its officially located at 132 Allen Street, which sits about here ^^^ but the pictures on GoogleMaps are severely outdated, so it currently doesn’t even show a storefront. Believe me, its there. The best part is that its only about 10 blocks from the Manhattan entrance to the Williamsburg bridge. Now you can skate East AND West over the bridge and always end up at the Bustin store.
This is about what it looked like today! Its a BIG glass storefront that will sparkle with colorful longboard parts soon! The first items we’re installing are an expanded ‘Wall of Wheels’ and expanded ‘Rat Rod Setups’ wall.
This is what it looked like 9 months ago. Looked like a pretty cool store at one time (google ‘the sweet ones, allen street’). Worry not “Sweet Ones”, we’ll do you proud!
PS. As of now we don’t have an official open date but we’re hoping for sometime around April 1. Thanks again everyone for the support, we’ll see you on the other side of the river!
