Saturday April 4th, 2015 — Dave Anders takes the train downtown and sets up a fresh deck at a local LES Skate Shop. Getting ready to start stacking clips for his new Springtime skate video he hits the streets to get his blood flowing and break in his new board a bit.
After an untimely mishap, the day gets cut short before any intense skating begins.
This video represents the fragments of that day. Reduced to a simple documentation of what it’s like to push hard wheels through the streets of the city. The pulse of Dave’s push and the roar of the wheels on rough pavement become a hypnotic meditation and observation as the city passes by.
Spring like weather blessed NYC this weekend
Saturday and Sunday were awesome, sunny and in the mid 60’s. The streets were packed with people aching to get out and have fun.
Kiefer Dixon led the weekly Sunday Shred, Longboarders met him at Columbus Circle at 1:00 for an afternoon of traffic surfing. Kiefer has been digging the Bustin Maestro Series Lately. Andy Millien was spotted ripping a fresh new YoFace 35″ in Chelsea.
