Central Park Race 2011 Event Weekend Schedule

written by Mike June 2, 2011

New York City’s notorious 6.2 mile PUSH RACE is THIS WEEKEND.  GET IT IN.  CPR is the 1st Push Culture race of the 2011 season and stakes are high.  The skate scene has grown by leaps and bounds and the top contenders are fierce.  Expect the winners to finish 6.2 mles in 20 minutes – do the math, know your pace and hold it.  Central park is a distance sprint course, not an endurance race.  Stay HYDRATED, temperatures will be extreme.  Usually around 90 degrees.  Don’t miss this extraordinary event – this event will set pace for the summer season.  Come, socialize.  You only get one CPR in 2011!

Friday June 3rd

Friday Night Rips: Prospect Park, Brooklyn 7pm

Take the F train to 15th street Brooklyn. Skate into the park and to the right and you’ll find the group.

Saturday June 4th

Central Park Race:  Columbus Circle, Central Park, Manhattan 12 noon

Take the A,B,C,D and 1 train to 59th Street Columbus Circle. Meet at The USS Maine National Monument at the entrance to Central Park at 59th and Central Park West.

Race starts at 12 noon sharp I would like people to come at least an hour before the start. Please remember to be quiet and not attract our friends in law enforcement.  After the race we give out the prices at the Monument where we met then go to the Boat House for some drinks and social activity.

After Party: Saturday  Night 7pm Longboard Loft and Lucky Jacks bar right next door. Both are on the corner of Allen and Delancey Streets in Manhattan.

Sunday June 5th

Earthwing Skateboards Super Sessions: Manhattan.  12-6pm

Rat Rod NYC and Concrete Kings are planning on doing  events on Sunday and going to work with Earthwing so the events don’t conflict.
