Solomon here. For the next retailer spotlight I am bringing it a bit closer to home; back to the Beastcoast. Community Bikes and Boards is located in Philadelphia and is the city’s only location for you to purchase your favorite longboard brands. The shop is done completely out of recycled materials..check out the board racks in the photo and you’ll notice police barricades left behind to litter the streets after things got wild on Philly’s urban streets. Cops contributing to the counterculture. Word.
For Rob Everitt and his staff community is way more than part of a catch name; they are at the heart of scene in Philly and surrounding area. Guys like Earl Stout, Garret Creamer and Jkan are super active on the scene. From throwing themselves down hills at high speeds, freeriding on Lemon Hill or organizing races through the heart of the city, these guys live skateboarding!
