Holiday Crunch Time at Bustin

written by Ryan December 16, 2008

This is the busiest week of the year at Bustin, where we work like Elves getting all the last minute holiday orders out the door in time for Christmas.  As I take a quick lunch break, my hands and clothes covered with paint from chipping in in the shop, I just wanted to drop a quick thank you to everyone who is supporting our brand despite the tough economic times.  This holiday season has been much bigger for us than last year, which comes as a little bit of a surprise based on the recession.  However, despite the feared slowdown, we are seeing stoke and respect for our brand in the form of tons of holiday orders and we APPRECIATE IT! We spend a ton of time and money making sure our products are legit and our customers are happy and I think its times like these when such efforts pay off.  Most customers now mention that they were referred by a friend or heard good things on a forum, many even colorfully exclaim that they will never ride anything BUT a Bustin.  As you can imagine, this kind of feedback feels really good and makes us feel that our hardwork and extra effort is paying off.  More than anything, it makes me super happy about how the brand is growing.  From the start we decided that we would grow this thing grassroots style and not the big advertising, b*llsh#t way.  We figured that if our boards were good enough and we were fair enough,  people would spread the stoke for us and make our brand stronger than any message or ad we could come up with.  Sitting here, covered with paint and nervous about the gazillion custom boards we have to produce today, I’m thrilled that our plan is working and thankful to everyone who supports our mission.

Back to Santa’s skateboard factory now!  Peace and Happy Holidays everyone!
