Constructed with our new ThermoGlass layup featuring three individual layers of recyclable fiberglass heat melded with sustainably harvested Great Lakes Maple.

Why We Made It

Because our riders asked! The Boombox has spent the past 2 years as our premier double kicked longboard. And one of the biggest requests was for a little brother, and here he is! A classic cruisy longboard feel, meets 100% thrashable tails, and a rocker / concave combo that feels like a combination of dance floor and snowboard bindings, locked when you want to be, lively when you don’t.

Construction

The ThermoGlass construction is our revolutionary new process for creating stronger, lighter and more eco-friendly decks right here in the USA.  We start with 3 plys of Great Lakes Maple and lay them up with a proprietary thermo-active formula along with several layers of fiberglass cloth.  The sandwich is then placed in an ultra high-heat, high-pressure press where the panels undergo a transformation process that essentially melds all of the plies together into one new material that can only be dismantled using the same amount of heat.  The result is a nearly indestructible board made using no harmful glues or resins.

Setups

The Boombox Mini was designed to be able to do a little of everything, but really excels in the freestyle / freeride world.  As such, we recommend setting it up with light trucks and wheels; Paris and Five-0’s are a great bet for flipping the deck and getting technical.  While if you want to hit the hills and get side-ways, grab a set of the new Bear 852’s or Caliber 50’s and a set of Snipers for thane-laying goodness!
