Recently the art students of Pangborn Elementary of Hagerstown, Maryland teamed up with Bustin Boards to do some amazing things. For the past month they have been working to raise money for the charity Operation Smile. Operation Smile helps provide surgery for children who are born with facial deformities. Every 3 minutes a child is born with a facial deformity and the students wanted to do something to help.
Through the courtesy of a number of local companies we they were able to provide some pretty awesome prizes to the grade, class, and students who raised the most funds. Prizes included art supplies, a pizza party, and a reptile show. The Top 3 students who raised the most money got their choice between a limited edition Bustin Board or a painting by their art teacher.
After all the money was counted the students raised $3,383. Because of their hard work and compassion the students were able to help provide life changing surgery for 14 children.
The students who raised the most money are pictured.

2nd Place – Olivia Tracy – $159
