This past Saturday Sector 9 sponsored a push race in conjunction with the Pocono 400. The race was a 2.5 mile sprint around the freshly paved Pocono Raceway Track. There was a $1000 prize purse put up by Sector 9. All additional proceeds went to Victory Junction, an organization that helps kids who have chronic health problems.

The top men’s and women’s spots were taken by the Bustin team. As part of an initiative by Jeff Vyain, the mens team agreed to share their cash winnings with the top women racers. This was inspired by the lack of a women’s division at the event and to promote female participation in skate events. Thank you Jeff.

More event coverage.

This coming Saturday at noon is the Cenral Park Race. The next major push race event in the north east. Look for coverage of that next weekend.
