Michigan longboarding roots are dense in distance skateboarding. Commuting point A to B is part of everyone’s life, and it feels good on on a skateboard. Only the past 30 years or so the majority of Americans have invested a major chunk of their savings into automobiles, and bikes- to commute point A to B. Automotives are rad! Bikes are pretty cool too. But, you can’t drive an automotive on a State-Trail networks.
White Pine Trail
The Chief ladiga Silver Comet Skate Challenge is a 3 day, 188 mile stage race on the Silver Comet Trail between Georgia and Alabama. The course is 94 miles, longboard skateboarders compete for fastest finishing time over a 3-day period. On the final day of Ladiga, the skaters push the entire 94 miles back to the finish – a true testament to the dedication of these athletes. Bustin is an urban push company, naturally we are obsessed with this type of event. Huge respect to the field of skaters who will participate in the Ladiga event this year.
Snake Pliskin is in town, he is trying to party! Years of oppression have left Snake with a hot stink on his breathe and bad attitude in his veins. Snake has one request, to complete a distance push along the White Pine Trail with the Michigan homies. Can you digg it? 13 miles. MEET: April 13, 4pm – Fish Ladder Park, Downtown Grand Rapids. Wear an eye patch.
