Team Rider Spotlight – Nayhomi Cruz – Bustin Longboards NYC

written by Rob Rodrigues June 19, 2012

Check Out Bustin team rider Nayhomi Cruz. This 18 year old native of Puerto Rico came to NYC this month to race at Major Stok’em. She took second place there behind Cordelia Welch and just ahead of Cami Best.

Everyone here was so stoked on Nayhomi that we convinced her to stay longer to compete at the Central Park Race and the Windham Downhill race. Nayhomi wound up taking 3rd place women’s in Central Park last Saturday. I’m looking forward to watching her ride the Hill at Windham this coming weekend.

Nayhomi’s past podium finishes are what brought her to Bustin’s attention. She won the Guajataka Downhill three years in a row and placed third there last January. She also has a second place finish at Guama Downhill.

When she’s not shredding hills and streets Nayhomi is busy studying nursing at the Universidad Metropolitana de Puerto Rico.

Welcome to the Bustin family Nayhomi!!!
