The Maestro. I didn’t think it could get any better than the Strike. The Strike has been my board of choice for the past few years. I remember when we first introduced it two Broadway Bombs ago. There were about six of us in the crew racing this dropped deck and I was already singing its praises. I knew it was going to be a hit. Smooth, low and fast. What else did I need! Apparently I needed the Maestro. The Strike is our elite sports car. The Maestro is our top of the line jet aircraft. I’m calling it now…You are going to love this board!!!!!!!!!
The Maestro has taken versatility to another level for me. I have never Bombed the Williamsburg bridge as fast as I have repeatedly done on the Maestro and yet continually felt SO at ease. The flex of the board combined with the 70MM Tightwall Bocas simply makes any gaps or holes inconsequential! And pushing uphill has never been easier. My first time up the hill I couldn’t believe how painless and quickly I reached the top! One foot kicking, nonstop. Cake.
What about sliding? The Maestro is all about it. Lay down some of the longest and smoothest slides you never thought you would be able to do. I can throw down some sick power brakes and slides but stand up slides were usually out of my grasp. No more! I couldn’t believe it. Did this board really just make me a better skater?… Maybe not, but it definitely helped me take it to another level.
And style? Off the scale. This board has some serious flow. Poetry in motion. I seriously was so caught up in the fluidity of one ride last week I had to question whether I was floating. Laugh at this if you like but that is 100% true story. Manuals are even easier on this board and Travis Davenport is popping this board all over the place. Please stop saying you can’t do this on a longboard, this is the future of longboarding….Welcome.
Btw, one month till the June 5 Central Park Race.If I were you I would order my Maestro before these limited editions runs run out. As always….It’s Bustin Bitches!
